Start using JLab Jupyter Hub

  • To start using Jupyter hub you need a jlab CUE account and to be added to slurm (scicomp batch system).
  • Go to https://jupyterhub.jlab.org/ and log in with your CUE username and password.
  • When you log in for the first time it will show a QR code. You need to download any one of the following applications: Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or FreeOTP and scan that QR code to set up the future authentication.
  • Now you will be landed on a page where you can select a notebook image to start with, number of CPUs, amount of memory, and runtime.
  • After this initial setup, whenever you log in again, it will ask for OTP. You need to open the app you set up in step-3 above to get the OTP and enter that here.
  • For documentation on how to create and use your own kernel in the notebooks please have a look at https://scicomp.jlab.org/docs/JupyterKernel
